At Bommarito Consulting, LLC, we provide advisory services at the intersection of AI, governance, privacy, information security, and computational modeling. If you are a client or partner and we have signed additional agreements, please also review those terms and any related notice or consent forms.

This Website Privacy Notice describes how Bommarito Consulting, LLC collects, uses, and shares information when you use this website or any related domains ("site", "website"). This notice does not necessarily cover the privacy practices of other projects or services provided by Bommarito Consulting, LLC.

2. What information does Bommarito Consulting, LLC collect?

In general, we limit our collection of information. Here is what we collect:

A. Browser Information

By visiting this site, your browser sends basic information to our servers as part of a normal HTTP(S) request, including your IP address, browser user agent, and other HTTP headers. We use this information for two purposes:

  • Security and Availability: To address information security or availability issues, such as denial of service (DoS) or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Internal Analysis: To understand and improve trends related to our content (for example, which posts are most popular), we may use Plausible analytics. Plausible provides privacy-focused analytics and does not collect IP addresses or use cookies.

B. Contact Information

If you submit information via our Google contact forms or to us directly at inquiry@bommaritollc.com, we collect contact information and any other information you choose to provide.

We use this information to contact you or to take action based on your request.

C. Email Lists (Insights and Updates)

If you subscribe to our email lists at bommaritollc.com/subscribe, we collect your email address, your name if you provide it, the lists you choose, the date and time you signed up and confirmed, and the IP address you confirmed from. We use double opt-in: we send nothing to the lists you chose until you click the confirmation link we email you. We also receive delivery reports, such as bounces and spam complaints, so that we stop emailing addresses that do not work or do not want our email.

We use this information only to send the lists you chose. Our emails do not contain tracking pixels, and we do not track which links you click. The signup form uses a small computation in your browser to keep out automated signups; it does not use cookies or a third-party service.

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately, and a link to manage your preferences. From the preferences page you can also have a copy of your data emailed to you or delete your data permanently. If you unsubscribe without deleting your data, we keep a record of your address so that we do not email you again.

D. Third-Party Platforms

We may collect information when you interact with our content on third-party sites or platforms, such as social networking sites. This may include reactions, comments, profile information provided by those platforms, or the fact that you viewed or interacted with our content. These platforms are governed by their own privacy notices and terms.

E. Other Information

We may collect other information from you if we interact in ways not specifically listed here. Any use of such information will be in accordance with this Website Privacy Notice or as otherwise permitted by you.

3. Do you share my information with third parties?

We do not sell, trade, share, or transfer your personal information to third parties except in the circumstances described below.

A. Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to host our website and provide website analytics. The following service providers may process information on our behalf:

  • Amazon Web Services: website hosting, and hosting and delivery of our email lists (our own list server and Amazon Simple Email Service)
  • Google Workspace: contact forms and communication
  • Plausible: privacy-friendly web analytics

B. Legal Purposes

We may share your personal information when required to do so by law or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

  • satisfy applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, including those outside your country of residence;
  • enforce our contractual terms, including investigation of potential violations;
  • protect against imminent harm to our rights, operations, property, privacy, or safety, or that of our users or the public as required or permitted by law;
  • allow us to limit damages we may sustain or to pursue available remedies.

C. Fraud and Security

To detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.

D. Consent

We may share your personal information with a third party when you provide consent.

E. Aggregate Information

We may share highly aggregated, non-identifying information with the public or third parties, such as broad trends in visitor interest.

4. How do you use cookies?

We do not use cookies.

5. What rights do I have?

You have the right to opt out of marketing communications from us. You can do this by using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by contacting us at inquiry@bommaritollc.com. Subscribers to our email lists can also export or permanently delete their data from the preferences page linked in every email.

6. Children Under Age 13

We do not intend for children under the age of 13 to visit our site or submit personal information to us. Children under 13 may not send personal information about themselves. If we discover that we have collected personally identifying information about a child under 13, we will delete that information. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe we have personal information from or about your child, please contact us at inquiry@bommaritollc.com.
